Not the "blue" "red" or "black" vane type pumps. Talking about the new chrome / black 125 gph and 150 gph pumps. Are they as quiet as the Mallory pumps? How is the quality, reliability? My mallory 140 pumps (main on, and backup) are driving me nuts. They might just be worn out....I don't know.

Are you using any rubber isolators?

i installed one on a customers car. the pump worked fine and was so quiet at first that i couldn't tell if it was running or not, even before starting the engine. within a few days it got louder and louder and started to sound more like the old "blue" pump.
eventually it drove the customer nuts. he asked us to put a manual pump on the car, so we did. i never bothered to take the pump apart to inspect it. it was mounted below the fuel level and had a filter before the pump. we did check the filter before replacing the pump and it was clean as a whistle, so no restriction in fuel flow to the pump. i'm not likely to try another one.
