sam64 pro stock Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,285 okla.	you'll most likely never be faster than everyone.and unless you keep track of how fast jr. dragsters run in the 1/8 mile, you might want to watch it if one challenges you to a race.oh yeah if you can't go for the fun of it choose a different sport.nothing like watching a racer come back to the pits driving like an idiot,then getting out of the car throughing stuff,cussing,ranting, blaming everything in sight because they lost. 5897448-mopars032(Small).jpg (62 downloads)

Poor guy had a beautiful 66 Chevy II that he had just finished and put a TON of money into. Time trials ......... he got out of the groove and into the marbles. Over the wall and onto the roof the hard way. Even though I felt bad for the guy , the first words out of my filthy sewer were " he should'a lifted." My better half did all the driving back then because she could beat up on a tree like nobody's business. Talk about guys cussing ........ when she put some of them on the trailer , they were beyond livid. I always told her " nevermind what's happening in the other lane ..... run our car." It seemed to work pretty well.

I totally disagree....I have seen plenty of fast cars, built or tuned by someone else. E/T has no relation to tuning ability in lots of cases. Some guys dont want or need to go fast in this country of bracket racing. There about going rounds....And just cause a guys fast doesnt mean he will be around the next round either.. Ask me how I know.... Look at the old Stock Eliminator Guys. How about the FAST guys? But then they are the E/T chasers, adrenaline junkies. That go to the track, have fun going fast, win or loose they still think its 300% better than any day at work. I always listen when a old geezer leans on the fender and has something to say about a car or tune up.... It was always easy for me to decipher from someone if there full of crap or not.
