I need a new transmission slip yoke for my set up. 446/727/8 3/4 3.91 with aluminum pinion yoke and aluminum 3.5 driveshaft. About 550hp and runs low 12's.

-My trans is a 71-2 727 what should the output spline be? 29? 30?

-I have seen forged, cast, ductile iron, steel types of yokes. What would be a good strong one for my application? It will be a 1350 series.

Thanks.

I have a billet steel 7260 rear end yoke from Mancini on all my center sections but stayed with the OEM style front. But they also carry a variety of regular and billet slip yokes for the trans and probably have some of the better prices. Wouldn't hurt to look up yokes on the Summit site also for price comparisons as other race driveline manufacturers have 1350 billet yokes for both ends too.

I think even a stock one whould hold up fine but getting a new one I would go overkill and get a billet one. It doesn't cost a leg or 2 and you will be fine for the rest of your life. If you don't get a GForce gearbox needing a GM style...don't ask me about it
