What is the difference between the 67-72 center link and the 73-76 center link? I see that if I want to install a fast ratio pitman arm, that I need to have the 73-76 center link installed. I have a 70 Duster that was once a /6 car, converted over to a 340 w/833. I guess I need pics to compare.
TIA!!!
On the earlier center links, the mounting holes on each side will be rotated 90* or perpendicular to each other (one will be vertical and the other horizontal).
On the later 73+ center links, the mounting holes will be on the same axis.
Hope that makes sense. I think on bigblockdart.com in the tech archives there are some pictures of the different ones.

Thanks for the reply. I believe I know what you mean, as mine has the mounting holes on the same axis. I'm not a member of bigblockdart.com, but maybe I should be!
Glad to help out. I dont think you need to be a member there to view the archives but its free so might as well.
As you can imagine, a lot of the info is geared toward big block a bodies but as the same with here, theres a lot of useful information that applies to all.

The tapers where the idler/pitman arms go in the centerlink are reversed on the 68-72 and the 73-76 centerlinks. One set of years goes in from the top and the other goes in from the bottom (dont remember which is which) (plus the 90 deg twist on the tie rod eye ends as mentioned).

So are V8 and /6 center link diffrent or are they the same?
Same piece on 67-72 and 73+ cars, it's not like the earlier A's where the slanty and V8 link were different

The reason I ask this question is, by checking the Firm Feel website, I need to have the 73-76 center link to be able to use their fast ratio pitman arm.
Got one, shoot me a PM if interested.

The '73-'76 pitman/idler studs point down while the earlier studs point up, that's all. Here's a pic of the later one: Cory
