Hello,

On a street/strip ride is the anodizing worth doing? What about the friction reducer coatings on the side walls of a hard coated piston? What do you think?

I am considering a heat barrier coating on the domes ........... but I am told that most anti friction coatings are long gone by the time you get in to look at the pistons again.
They don't last long at all is what I hear.

If your not going to use a power adder and it is a pump gas freindly motor don't waste your money on the hard coating if your going to add NOS or boost get them done You have to remember when adding the hard coating to the pistons the piston will not be the first to fail, the heads, block or the head gaskets will fail before the pistons will Would you rather buy a piston or a block or head This is in the extreme racing enviorment, not normally found on the street
