What is the largest wheel and what offset will fit on a 65 Coronet with stock suspension, wheel wells and rear end without any rubbing?

You can go 15" wheels, 8" wide with a 4.5" backspace easy. 4" backspace makes it really tight on the outside. Plenty of room inside on both.

I'm running an 18x10 in back with a 295/45-18. It fits fine if you get the backspacing correct.

The front 18x9 with 245/45-18 tend to rub on the fender and frame when the suspension compresses while turning. I am running a complete '69 K frame and steering arrangement so yours may be different.

Is ther enough room if for a 15x10 if you go with a 5.5" or 6" back spacing?

I don't know. You'd just need to do the math.

Trust me. You don't want my wheel info. Nothing is correct (or even normal) on my car with the exception of the body.
The rear end is from an unknown donor. It's a random that happened to fit.

The body is unaltered and the springs are where they belong. That's no biggie because they're even with the frame rails anyway.

You've just got to break out a coat hanger and measuring tape. Be sure to look UP when you do the rears. The side of the tires are known to rub on the outer wheelhouse a few inches above the wheel opening on these cars.

Thanks, I have one with the leafs moved in and the wheel well split because of the rubbing. My wife let me buy this second one because it was a restored 383, AC, PS, PB car. She will probably will kill me when I pull the motor out and put my 440 in it with a 400 convertor. Lol

I'm running a 295/50/15 on a ramcharger 15x8 rim. No altercations. Occasional rub.

Yes rubs on the outside. Wheels are 4 5/16" backspace. Tires clear the spring by about 1". I also run airshocks set @ 90psi. to help eliminate the rubbing. I think that a 4.5" bs. wheel would eliminate all problems.

let me guess... it's rubbing the side wall on the outer wheelhouse about 2" above the opening.
Those tires are too fat for the wheel and they poof out a bit. Yes, they fit on an 8" wheel but they're much happier on a 9 or 10 incher.

Thanks for all the input. I guess I will go with 15x8 with a 41/2" back spacing.

And I forgot to add that my comments above is with a 275/60/15 tire. A 255/60/15 tire will be easier to run with a 4" backspace.

Junky,
I like the way your car sits. What size are you running up front?

In that photo I'm running 235/60/15. I've switched to 245/60/15. The 235's didn't fill the wheel well enough for me. The 245 looks much better...to me.

Also, in that photo, the rear wheels (TorqThrust D) are 8x15 with 4.5" backspace. I've switched to 8x15 with 4" backspace. Wheels now are the T70R TorqThrust. It was very tight. Had to bend the inner wheel-house wall out a bit. Took some work. Much better clearance.
