I know there is some way to dissable the auto locks that lock and don't un lock after a certain speed, I get frusterated getting my kid out the passenger side and I always forget to un lock the doors when I get out then go to get him. When I worked at the dodge dealer we used the DRBIII and so I don't rmember the manual procedure.

I can't wait to see the answer for this one as my truck has locked me out a couple of times.

It locks all the doors when I hit a certain speed but when I get out I don't notice because pulling the interior door handle unlocks my door, it just gets frusterateing when I walk around the truck try the door to get my kid out and it is locked so then I have to dig the key back out of my pocket with gloves on and unlock it or walk back around and open the door and hit the unlock switch. Thankfully it won't lock the keys in, only aftermarket alrams and such would do that on my truck and I would yank that junk the day I bought the car.

I had a similar problem on my 2006 and 2007 Ram 1500 trucks. I had the dealer tech fix it. Before, The warning bell would sound when I didn't have the belt on. I run around on the construction site getting in and out several times a day. The doors would lock upon reaching 15 mph in forward motion. That feature still works. Also since the fix, BOTH doors unlock when I pull the drivers door, unlike before. If you get frequent oil changes at the dealer, and they want to keep your biz, ask them to fix the problem. It takes them 2 minutes with their code/diagnostic tool.

Yours must be standard. My 2000 was auto and would lock when you put it in gear. I whipped out the owners manual and followed the procedure to turn it off. Took me a couple of tries to get it but it worked.
I bought mine off a dealer/friend and it only had one key. One of my first trips out I got out, must've bumped the "knob" at the top of the door and shut it with it still running. Pass door still locked. That was a problem even afterwards that I kept bumping that when I get out.
Fortunately, I was only a couple miles from where I got it and he sent his kid down with a big wedge and a hook. Took 5 seconds to get in.

Auto lock is a function that can be enabled/disabled through the computor without removing the relay.Your dealer may or may not charge you for doing it.I am pretty sure it's in the owners manual.
