Hello all

Replacing the rotors and pads on the 96 Cummins 2500 and plan on cleaning up the sliders, ways, whatever you call them. Can I use a little antisieze or is brake lube better?

I've used antisieze & it's lasted & worked good. What is brake lube?

I've used both with good results.

By brake lube I assume you mean the little packets of silicone based lube parts stores sell.

I have used NOTHING .. just make sure the areas are clean rust/scale free.

Grease and antiseize just attract dirt.

..use the green stuff for discs.
regular oil base lubes can damage some rubber components over time, like the seals and boots.
cheap insurance.

And anti seize can dry and gum up cuasing problems.

I use Sil Glyde both at work and at home. Available at Napa.
