A little more progress.

One of the rear disc brake. That old electric pump I had on there still has to go. It took that and the mechanical to keep fuel to those AFB's at WOT. I know, and am glad that there are much better ways to go now.
You can see my rust patching with no bondo yet. Unfortunately this reassembly all took place in the course of 1 week in '92 because I had to get the car out of the shop it was in.

Another angle. That steering wheel & column is actually a hybrid from the original and an '80 Mirada tilt column. With the new columns that are available I will likely change that now.

The doors back on with brand new hinges that I was able to buy from a dealer in Arlington, Tx. in 92. In studying them I discovered they were the exact same hinges that my '78 D150 had.

That is my brother Steve's '79 Magnum setting in the background complete with a 440-6, 4spd, dana 60 drive train from a totaled '70 Charger. He actually sold the car a few months ago and the drive train is going back into a '70 440-6 Charger that was missing it's drive train.

And one with the car on a trailer headed to Fort Worth which is where I had moved to and why the car had to be removed from the shop it was in. And alas the way it has remained for just under 18 years now. Fortunately I have been able to keep the car stored inside all that time except for a few years back in Texas that it had to set outside under a tarp. I had the car tarp on it and a big blue plastic tarp over that staked to the ground all the way around like a big tent.

That is my trusty pickup that is gone now. After 250K + miles it was convertd into a single wheel crew cab 1 Ton, which served me well for my move to Colorado. I sold it to a man in Missouri who had plans of making it a cummins powered 4X4. Don't know if he did or not.

Here is a low quality shot of the pickup loaded up ready to head to Kansas City where I delivered it to. Minus it's 440 of course. I had to keep that of course since it was from the '70 300 mentioned in the opening post that became my first car after it had been my brothers.

And I just have to include one shot of "The Beast" as my friends called it in it's glory days with the healthy 440 and 4 spd.

And finally the reason why I can return to the restoration of my ride (in a few months at least). My new shop. The next few months will be spent preparing it for use. After marraige, buying a house, moving it, & two kids the looooong wait is over.
