Did you get a tracking number? My bumpers were shipped UPS and required me to sign for them. Got them no problem, but it took a week to get them.

d-guy ... you are one lucky person. There have been many MANY topics just on this topic featuring AAR. For many many years.

And another question I have for some here ...HOW in the HECK does AAR qualify to be called race-car-parts ? .... some of their stuff is NEAR the weight of the steel parts they are meant to replace ..

They are not the lightest by no means but they are the best glass parts I have ever seen I am getting ready to order a scoop from them in the near future.
I have always talked to the owner Allan and my parts have always been ready when I needed them but I do live close enough to drive over and get them so no shipping for me.

No number the lady that answers the phone wont put alan on the phone.I talked to him one time [the last]he said they will go out today or tomorrow that was a week ago.Called today alan wasnt in she did'nt know anything.Their customer service sucks thats no way to run a business.I told him about the runaround i was getting he said they have to work on that .When i first emailed them they said everything was in stock. But by the time my money order got there they sold the parts? Not a bit happy but what do you do just wait i guess they are to far to drive to for me I am in ohio.

Bought a few things from them, absolute opposite experience that I had. It did take a little longer than most shipments to get on mine, but they were both hoods. Oh yeah and one is one my race car and looks awesome. Cant see those gawd awful ribs around the whole surface like you do on most "race" fiberglass. If you are that dead set that they have wronged you call and ask for a tracking number and if they cannot provide it, demand your money back.

Doc you always seem to jump at the chance to bash EVERY company that makes fiberglass parts. I had zero problems with AAR, and the bumpers are no where near the weight of steel ones. My bumpers are near perfect. The only thing I need to do to them is remove the recess in the rear bumper for backup lights because 68's do not have them in the bumper. If your customer service and quality of parts was so great, why are you not still in business?

Jeff ...NO bash ... just the facts !! READ what people have to say about them ...JUST THE FACTS.

Let me add .... to THIS comment ---
If your customer service and quality of parts was so great, why are you not still in business?

It was MY choice to stop production and persue other automotive interests. SERVICE and QUALITY ? ... I was a NHRA sponsor and was an OFFICIAL vendor for Chrysler Engineering and for the Direct Connection and then Mopar Performance. And also for Ford. I rest on those laurels.

Now as far as me and my laurels and reputation ... I will compare that to ANYONE in the fiberglass business. There have been many write-ups in many publications and even posts here .... WE WANT YOUR PRODUCT and SERVICE.

I plan on doing JUST THAT.

I have heard rumors that AAR is just too busy for a small shop anymore, but won't hire any help.

I have a pair of his Duster fenders and they are very nice.

FWIW I just bought a fender and front bumper from Glasstek for my 68 cuda. The fender was 310 and the bumper 150. The bumper is within same weight of my old AAR piece and honestly it is nicer. I put in a pic of the fender because I was pretty impressed with it and from what I've read on here about all the different glass places I thought I got two pretty good pieces.

AAR fenders and hood on my car, took a few weeks to get but it was worth the wait. Granted its not the lightest stuff but i'll sacrifice a little weight for apperance. if i buy any more glass it'll come from them.

OK guys .. let me say that I might be a little ENVIOUS of how AAR can make this business work.

They make stuff that is SUPER high-dollar, it is heavy-weight "race" stuff and their customer-service is lacking. HOW do you operate a business like this ?

ONE of the reasons why I stopped my business is that I was SICK and TIRED of talking to people who were trying to beat-me-up on a small price diff between my parts and Unlimited.

And then there is the example here. I am amazed. And maybe a little JEALOUS that they can pull "this" off. SURE .. they have decent quality parts ... but heavy parts that are good-looking are EZ to make.

And above .. there is a guy from TX .. that ordered parts from them and 4 days later he had the parts ?? .. I would LIKE to know which truck line that came through.

The hood I used on my 67 Barracuda is far from heavy, but as I stated it does not show the reinforcing ribs in at like all other "light weight" fiberglass parts I have seen. When it showed up at the body shop, we scuffed it, primed it and painted. As I stated before, I have had zero customer service problems with them.

I cannot believe there is that much weight difference between there parts and yours or anyone elses. If I am spending any money at all on paint, I will pay a few more bucks for the fiberglass and buy light weight parts somewhere else if weight is such a concern.

Gentelmen... Some small shops have to deal with the change in their internal shop personal and can't fine the TIME to Get "R" Done I bought a Scamp rear bumper from AAR and it was much lighter that the Stock one I was pleased with the product. Timly shipping was not the best but the bumper was a bolt on piece..
I had to call to make sure they would not send me a dart bumper becauce of the single tail light hole is all cut out, for the tail light. She was pleasent on the phone and the E-Mails back and forth with Alan was very tentive.
I would buy again..

I have bought fiberglass from ALLLL of the "bigger" named companies including AAR. I like their quality FAR better than anything else I have bought. It is a LITTLE heavier but its WAY better made. I called about a hood a couple of weeks ago and they had one in stock. I paid over the phone and the hood was here two days later. They also gave me a 10% discount. I ordered a decklid and bumpers and they came U.P.S. They got here VERY quick and in great shape. All I would buy is AAR.....
