Hi. I m trying to get my 69 bee to the Mopars In the Park show saturday. It was completely tore down and I m in the process or rebuilding it. I bought a new engine forward harness and front light harness and rear harness. The problem is that the car fires up and runs and has headlights but thats it. I have no tailights , blinkers, parking lights and the wipers dont work? I am using the same dash harness and all of these things worked fine before I tore it apart. Is it something simple like a ground? Any Ideas? Ive got a week to get it going. I live in the twin cities area Thanks for the help. Nathan

make sure the fuses are good.
make sure power is getting to fuse block.
make sure you have a good ground to the body of the car, you may have to scratch that new paint

NO

An engine strap won't cause this problem. Frankly, it sounds like you have multiple problems. Do you have power on both sides of the fuses? Have you done any test lamp probing at the connector in the kick panel, on the way to the rear harness?

I can't think of any one problem that will cause all this

For example, your wipers should not be connected to the lighting problem.

If it was the infamous ammeter/firewall connector problem, then none of the lights should work

well, first off thanks for the help, I now have front parking lights and headlights. My wipers now work but I still have nothing for tail lights or rear blinkers. I think it has something to do with the new rear harness. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the horn stays on constantly. I will continue to press on If you can think of anything else let me know. thanks again

I would check the large plug that connects the steering column wiht the main harness. That maybe why the rear lights etc are not working. Is the turn signal cancle cam and wiring new/rewired? This maybe a potential problem area as well.

Thanks to all, It was bad grounds, the dash mounts needed to be sanded, one rear bulb was burned out, the tail lights werent grounded because I used little nylon washers as not to scratch the paint.. live and learn I guess also one front blinker wasnt hooked up, the other had bad contacts and needed to be cleaned, the horn still doesnt shut off but oh well I can temporarily live with that thanks again nathan
