I have the 31-16.5 M/T Sportsman tires now, and they are hard. I'm looking a tire alternative. Are the Sportsman Pro or the Hoosier QT any better? I was looking at the M/T ET Street also, but, they, as with the the Hoosier QT Pro seem built like a drag slick and I'm not sure how they would live with some street driving. I understand about reduced wear life, I'm more worried about picking things up.

If you have any experience please share.

Thanks,
John

All I can say is that the M/T ET Street is a good hooking tire on the cars I've used them on. It also doesn't seem to pick up near the stuff the my goodyears do.

We have yet to get the 72 street legal so I can't help you with how they are on the street or how long they last. By the looks of them I wouldn't want to go very long or fast in the rain though.

I switched from the M/T streets to the QTPs, because Hoosier recommended not running tubes.(which I didn't anyway). The mickeys would only hold air about 2 weeks, and the Hoosiers never lose any...in fact my dart has been parked for over 5 years, and they still have 15 pounds in them.

I've heard that the newer M/Ts might hold air tubeless now, but this was about 10 years ago. Also, both seemed to have the same grip for me, but neither like the slightest hint of dampness for street driving! The M/T drag radials do pretty good for me in the rain.
