Those appear to be Mickey Thompson wheels on the front.......When were those first released? I'm guessing early to mid 60's? I've got a buddy that has some and they have an aluminum center that's riveted into a chromed steel shell......BUT, they're 14's...... Wayne

Here's pics of an A/FX a friend of mine built a couple of years ago just for fun because he happened to have and old Belvedere Hulk and a left over Hemi from his now restaured 383 Charger. http://www.moparmaniacs.net/belveframe.html Starts from the bottom of the page.

not to highjack the post, very cool car by the way. i have a question about afx cars. tried this question in another form with no luck so here goes. we have a 65 cornet hardtop that we have played with/raced. my brother thought it would be cool to give it a afx look by installing a straight front axel and raising the front of the car approx 4 inches (2 inches would have looked better)now we have a tranny leak. so my question is was it common for the 727's to leak from the tailshaft seal when the front of the car was altered up?
First check your slip yoke for a vent hole in the plug at the u-joint end.4 speed yokes had a vent hole automatics didn't.Then check for over fill or acute trans angle. You can shim the trans up and adjust the pinion angle.Oh and make sure your seal and slip yoke are in good condition.
