moparpoolman OP enthusiast M Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 356 NE	Hey guys, I have a 440 with edelbrock heads and a MSD6AL. I'm running Champion RC12YC's. What should I set my spark plug gap at?

ahy master A Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 7,664 IN	Stock was probably .035. MSD says to open it way up... as much as .055 from memory. With the gap that wide, secondary voltages will go up and put more strain on wires, cap and rotor. I compromised and ran .045 on a similar setup engine. Next plug change, I'll try .040 and see if there is noticible difference.

ademon master A Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 6,906 IL, Aurora	I too went to .050 .055 and saw no dif, then read on NGK's site something about stock street plugs should not be opened past .045 or so, so i set mine at .042.
