They did a condensed version of there BB Chevy vs BB Ford shootout. The ford retained low hp rotating assembly, they added a main girdle, a hyd roller cam, 290 cc heads, and a single plane intake with a few minor things. Apparently in there mind a "similiar buildup" of the BB chevy was an aftermarket rotating assembly, 320 cc heads, and a solid roller cam. Does this seem "similiar" to anyone else (thats the actual word they kept using by the way) PS, with this the chevy made all of 11 hp more.

I emailed to Yahoo's about there poor pathetic example to bring entertainment to gear heads...
I ask why did they do a big block shoot out to follow up a 360 mopar build?
And they need to get past the tech on how to assemble press fit pistons and wrist pins to the rods, using a torch....
What a joke...
Id like to see a similar build using a set of 440-1 heads, or a set of nicely ported Victors...
IIRC the engines topped 600hp....You would half to leave a spark plug wire off to not make that range of power with a similar build bi block and decent heads.

Obviously the show is geared towards a teenage kid, and they barely meet the qualifications needed for that level. I'm surprised they don't get their parts from J.C. Whitney.

The Rods???. A good way to end up with a little piece of a now 2 piece rod attached to piston and visible through the newly aquired window.
Dumb ***.

Yeah...I watched it. It was a rerun. Interesting on how they build cars and motors. I emailed them last year about how they do their chassis work. They never replied. They have a habit of using a plumb-bob for locating and welding the suspension while the car is sitting on jackstands instead of being on a level jig. They placed the leaf spring hangers on the Comet A/FXer wrong. I saw that one coming a mile away. They also mounted the rear shock pivots wrong on the "Cuda" project car.

I'm still waiting for my reply..

Wonder why they didn't throw in a 440 in their showdown? What are they afraid of?

lol...and the way they halfass install/remove cams makes me cringe...talk about boogered up cam bearings
but to me, their dumbest stunt was installing the fuel cell backwards in the Barracuda.

I like it when they put one of their "600 horsepower" engines in a light weight car & go 8.50 in the 1/8.

You don't expect to see any 'real' tech out of those shows, do ya? Those shows are nothing more than one 30 minute infomercial, where they cram in every frickin' scripted pitch for every piece they bolt onto something. A real flippin' joke....it's been a lame show for years. Loved the A body they did a few years back where they mounted a fuel cell with the fuel outlets facing forward.
The rest of them on the 'PowerBlock' aren't much better either, like that stupid UFC Cuda; again, just another run-on rolling advertisement for all the free parts they get.

My grandson was flippin' channels the other day and came accross that show. He says "Look Pa, they're working just like you". I smacked him and put him in 'time out'!
