Thats what I did...bought up used/outdated(but good)TA/FC parts, combined with some new, for less than $15000 (Inj to pan). I have a 3000hp(Potential) motor de-tuned to less than 2000hp. My belief is, I am going to run the motor at a 1/2 - 2/3 its potential output which should equate to additional life. All that being said, if you keep after a TA motor(bearing insp, clean oil, keep the fuel "tune" in the safe zone, dont twist the blower too hard)they hold up just about as good as a bracket motor. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif)
