Ceramic polished TTI's are holding up pretty well. Nice and cool under the hood. Seems to be effective. Get your wallet.

I just got a set re-coated at Air Born coatings, near Charlotte. Too soon to tell how they'll hold up. We'll see.

These headers were originally coated by Jet Hot about 8 years ago. Some of the coating (in the collector area) had given up and there was some rust beginning to form.

The new coating is more resistant to scratches than was the Jet Hot coating, I can say that. Of course, it's possible that Jet Hot improved their process in the subsequent 8 years since my headers were first coated.

They are in Piqua, Ohio

I have looked at their stuff for a few years now and it is very nice although I haven't had anything done by them yet!

I took mine to LOKO, outstanding job and they are holding up really well, my buddy has a set they did 10 years ago and they are still holding up really well.

I have used LOKO also for few sets of headers and other stuff and they have always done a great job. They are in the Chicago suburbs.

nitroplate did my new Pro-Parts headers about 5 years ago and they started flaking after 1 season , So I would not recommend them

If you want it done right and do it once, then this is the only place

I had my headers done by Nitroplate last year. One place burned off almost immediately. The "plating" is very thin. Looks more like paint than plating. And it scratches off very easily. I will try someone else next time.

Master, again and still

Moore power coatings. Do outstanding work and stand behind it. They have a web site that lists all there services. Custom piston and bearing coating, header and exhaust coating even brake rotor coatings.

Brad's in Las Vegas, but his work is awesome. Did my whole TTI Challenger exhaust as one piece. Prices were less than Jet-Hot, too. Turn around was fast. He's a great guy & also does different performance engine coatings. Tell him Buzz from Reno referred you & to give you a good price.

I used Calico coatings, as recommended by another Moparts member. My TTI headers have been done for 4 years, and have about 3000 miles on them. Appearance has not changed one bit!

Jet hot here.It was done inside and out.
Lowered cabin temp noticably and still looks the same. This was 10 years ago. That's 10 years. There may be better out there but will they last that long? A caveat tho....I dont drive the car much but many heat cycles. I'd go back again to Jethot.

Bringing a good thread back from the dead...
I can get some used nickel plated TTI's for 500. How much would it cost to get ceramic coating/thermal barrier put on? Am I better off just buying a brand new set.
Would you recommend getting the regular ceramic or polished ceramic if I get a brand new ones. I don't know if the set I can buy will come with all the attaching hardware and all of that, so that would add to the price also...
Thanks all!!

I just sent them a email, thanks! The more I think about it, I'm probably better off buying new from TTI, but we'll see what that place quotes me at.
Thanks again!

I've had great experience with Brad at RamProline in Vegas.
He did my entire exhaust system & it was first class. Wish I
would've had him do my piston & chamber coatings, but next time
for sure. His website is www.ramproline.com & here's a link to
his brochure. http://ramproline.com/public/images/RAM%20Info.pdf

I would like to put another vote for Jet-Hot. I had my Schumacher Tri-Y headers coated 12 years ago in Arizona by Jet-Hot. They recently started having rust specs show up on them. I called Jet-Hot, they could not find any customer info from my original order. The customer service rep created a new customer number for me and said ship them to the Burlington NC office and they would take care of them. They came back to me within two weeks recoated beautifully. The customer service was great and they stood behind the lifetime warranty. No questions. Very happy!
