No problem! Here is a link to the upcoming Mardi Gras Nitro Jam in Baton Rouge, LA. That confirms one can cross over with NHRA credentials.

I never had any issues with using my NHRA stuff on a
IHRA track but have had issues going the other way,
thats when I got both sets (certs and license) but now
have since dropped my NHRA stuff

My take on this is, IHRA,,,,,,,,,,,
is more sportsman racer friendly,,,,,,,,,,
than NHRA, I have been on both sides of the fence, and I like where I am
at right now, the IHRA, to me seems like they
are genuinely interested you are participating
in their deal, and it seems like the NHRA,
could care less about you being there.
A lot of people bad mouth the IHRA, BUT personally
I have been treated with utmost respect from them,
can't say that about the other sanctioning body.
That is just my take on all the happenings.

Do you think NHRA will recognize an IHRA license? Silly question... 
But back to your question. It isn't the IHRA that decides if your local track has the "no box" or "footbrake" class or both. (call them what you will). The track decides if they will have a footbrake, non-electronics class or others. Call them.
At Maryland International Raceway (IHRA) we run Top ET (electronics, 12.99 and quicker) and Modified ET (footbrake, 9.00 and slower), Jr Dragster and motorcycle.
I hate the tracks that moved to "no-box" and no true footbrake class, or a slow car "sportsman". 9.00 footbrake is cool! If you run some electronics (trans brake), you should run them all. Footbrake, no transbrake, no two step, no air/electric shifters, drive the sucker! Just my opinion.
Silly question? I'm not towing one direction for 7 hours to find out that the track that has been NHRA is now Ihra and they won't recognize the license I hold. Unfortunately I don't have a trust fund to just piss money down the drain on a trip like that for nothing.

Wayne you are 100% correct locomotion answered my question. And if the indivdual that refered to my question as being silly had all the facts maybe he would have thought it not such a silly question? Also as to my favorite term "Trust fund"? No I don't have one and never will. And only those that have one and have never had to earn anything might find it an offensive term? Thats always been the problem with the truth? Not always poplular but still none the less true.

we used to run all the IHRA World Nationals that they used to have at Norwalk...they had Box and No Box classes 13.99 ET limit i believe in NB not sure of box...we also ran at grand bend motorplex in 2004 for there mopar canadian world nationals...fastest ET ever there in the dead of summer mid 60s and windy as hell. with the great lakes...im sure most of the IHRA national events still have sportsman classes of box and no box, when we did them before, NOT ALL the events offered that, so def look into it... shot from 2003 IHRA World Nationals ET eliminator WINNER on the NO BOX SIDE foot braking with a perfect .000 light in the final round against the BOX guy! kick ass!
