In have a carpet that has been completely glue down and im trying to remove it but its tearing the the carpet apart leavin little pieces everywhere what will remove the carpet easier and the glue?

Have you tried softening the adhesive with a heat gun?

yes still hard to pull off but how do i get rid of the glue on the floor?

Some kinda solvent, I'd start with lacquer thinner, maybe even paint remover, I doubt mineral spirits will touch it, but worth a try.

What worked for getting the glue residue off the sheet metal pans? Doing mine right now. Carpet came up good.
