What is the latest 69 road runner production number made at Lynch road and also when was the last day of scheduled production in 1969 at Lynch road?

The last Lynch Rd. Road Runner I have record of is rm23h9a3108xx with a SPD of 709 (Wednesday, July 9, 1969).

The last '69 car I have info on from Lynch Rd. is wm21j9a3127xx a HEMI Super Bee coupe.

Definitely not the last but getting close.

I'd say with an SPD of 120 or 128? that the VIN range should be 9A212XXX to 9A217XXX. I'm guessing that car has a typo error.

& since both these examples are 9A458xxx, maybe someone was playing games.

What is stamped on the core support or trunk rail? Is there a b'cast sheet? Anything else out of the ordinary with the car?

What is the sequence number on the tag? Looks like 118052, seems inappropriate for a 120 SPD.

The car has a SPD of 603 and the numbers on the trunk, and radiator support and VIN match. Strange.....

603 is the 4-speed trans, SPD is bottom line after the D21, looks like 120 or 128.

Thanks 6 bblGT. I assume the car should have a SPD Of 120-128. That should have put the last six at 258xxx not 458xxx. I wonder if that was the typo? Whats your thoughts? The fender tag looks legit, as does the rest of the car. Iam looking at it for a friend...

With a SPD of 120 (Monday, January 20, 1969) the VIN sequence should be in the 210xxx range. The 458xxx VIN on this RR & the R/T (orange VIN) puts it outside a simple "typo" in my opinion.

Something else going on, but what?

The R/T 458*** VIN, tag and body numbers all match.

Looks like there was a problem in late Jan at LR.

The example I posted also has a 120 SPD.

There may have been a problem with the machine that generated the IBM punch cards, if it was turning the 2s into 4s for the first digit, then it would have effected the VIN on all the items if no one caught it.
