71B 4 speed w/console hump. I need the picture before the hump is welded in place. A friend is getting ready to cut out new floor pans to install the hump and would like to see one before.

Sorry, I didn't take pics, but the hole is HUGE to clear the rods. I used the factory floor pan from a long ago parted 71 to do my car. I couldn't believe the hole had to be that large so I made it a touch smaller and had to recut twice for clearance. The holw is almost as big as the hump itself. Lay the hump down on the pan, trace around it and cut about 3/4" inboard of the mark, but stop at the floor brace and just come across right in front of the brace and all will clear.
I'm also assuming you're using a factory pistol grip with dogleg.

If I get this, there is actually two holes, because of the floor brace. I assume you don't cut the floor which is on top of the brace, you just leave it. Is that right??
