I am starting to get a handle on tuning my 3 circuit dominator midrange. Idle is good. Street cruising I have finally got the rear 6 plugs brown at 1500 to 3500. #1 and 2 plugs still sooty. Since running on just the front barrels at cruise with the plunge cut on the 440-3 intake, no spacer. It seems to over fuel the front 2 cylinders. I used the 440-3 for hood clearance. I have a 440-2 intake and tapered 2 inch spacer. I can run it with no air filter to try, or pull the hood. It looks like fuel and air would be directed more to the center with this combo, or am I way off base.

I think you could still pull some more fuel out of it

If the plugs were black they will never clean the insulator to get a good reading.

If so put 1 new plug in a decent cylinder and chech that one after a road test. It'll save you $$$ in plugs.

And I'll bet the back 2 also at WOT.

Look at it again, the divider ramps the fuel onto the ENDS of that manifold. Easiest fix would be to mill back the divider further. But, I would work the entire manifold plenium to equalize distribution. Adding a spacer will some help too.

Thanks guys. I know I still need to pull some more fuel out of it. The plenum looks like a better design on the 440-2. Does anyone have pictures of modifications to the plenum on the 440-3? Thanks, Galen
