hi i had one done by kriuzin moon nice job it warped a litle from bufing cost $1400. this before reproductions were available if had to do now i would try the reproduction

I've had numerous excellant used ones and also 2 NOS ones over the years. Last NOS one sold for about $2500 (for a certain 4spd Blue Hemi gtx vert) at a time when having one redone was in the $1500 range.
I've seen redone ones that look,,,,well,,,,,ok. For me I'd just buy a repop and save the costs involved and aggravation of dealing with a plater to do potmetal. The repops are real nice, not perfect but probably good enough for most owners with a higher level driver or a local shows type car. they would never make muster for an all out OE level car.
imo , the argent is too smooth, and the 2 raised ridges of chrome on each side of the red band is too low compared to an original

There are a number of people selling them out there. I would buy them direct from Joel at Metro. He sells the seconds to these other vendors. Joel has done a real good job with these and I would go direct to him
