I am finally hooking up the wiring on my 72 Swinger.

I have a strange problem!!

When I activate the horn button the horn relay clicks but the horns don't work. (if I supply 12V directly to the horns they work)

When I turn the ignition switch to start the horn comes on!!

I have checked the 72 dodge wiring diagrams and surprisingly this seems to be the way it is wired.

If I trace the wiring back from the horns to the bulkhead connector they actually match up with the ignition wire!! (both physically and per the wiring diagram)

If I trace the horn wire from the horn relay it ends up going to the starter relay (both physically and per the wiring diagram)
