CrazyMoparGuy...

Tried to message you but it wont accept anymore PMs. I have the same Eddy manifold as you (CH-28) and I just recently noticed that there is no provision at the rear for a threaded vacuum port. Did you drill one yourself?

I got shorty hedmans on my car and love them. My only complaint is that they are a little on the small size for a big block 440. I wish they were 2" instead of 1 3/4". Yet I out them in for the very same reason, easy install

Mike

I love my Hedman shorties! 68 Fury 440. They fit almost perfectly and far cheaper than TTI.

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.

The schumachers fit A, B, and E bodies. With a 383 you should have tons of room. They installed very easily in my 383 A body, should be a snap in an E body.

Fit my 66 NYker like they were made for it. Hardly ideal from an all out performance standpoint but they gotta be better than manifolds.

I would like to hear more about those Delta Headers although I seriously doubt if they would fit in a stock chassis.
Web Site?

Delta Motorsports sells headers specifically for Jensen Interceptors. They aren't intended for A/B/E bodies etc...

I use the two large vacuum ports on the carbs. One for power brakes, the other for the PCV valve...

There's OBX, which you can find on ebay. I know nothing about them except that they are there. From searching around the internet, it seems people either like OBX because they saved a lot of money, or hate OBX because they are a PITA.

im running hedman shorties on my 383 superbee and I love them, No modifications what so ever, I bought them because of ground clearance issues and I would recommend them. I have seen a test that a mopar magazine did on them and they ended up right in the middle when it came to performance versus long tube headers and factory exhaust manifolds.

From what was said earlier to your response the 383 is a narrower block so there wouldn't be any interference with the shock tower. I guess I will find out probably next week just what exactly is going on. It looks like I will have to do some grinding on the boss at cylinder #5, the passenger looks clear of obstructions on the block. The only remaining area is that shock tower and the power steering unit.

My Delta Motorsports headers on my Jensen are a slightly longer version of a block hugger header....

I may be interested in those.

I plan on running an Alterkation rack and pinion, so steering box is not an issue.

What size tubes are they? THey come in stainless? Thickness of tubes? Mounting flange? Size of tubes? Collector size? Their website is sparse on info:

Primary tubes appear to be 1 3/4" . The mounting flanges are thick up top at the head, the collector flange is thick enough to be deemed adequate IMO. I have no sealing issues at the collector whatsoever.
Collector is 2 1/2".
Mine are ceramic coated mild steel.

They seem to ME to be slightly longer than the Sanderson block hugger headers that I had, they have a longer collector than most block hugger style headers and the bottom of the header right before the collector tips away from the engine as per the Interceptor's frame rails which require it....
Lots of spark plug clearance.
