I need to replace the clear plastic gauge lense in my '91 Dodge pickup,I have one in a parts truck but it has a in ch of dust on it,whats the best way to clean it off without scratching the plastic? soap and water?

Soap and water is fine. I use polishing compound on mine (after a washing) to remove all fine scratches. Better than new!

Use a soft cloth instead of a paper towel.

fine compound and buff even by hand and presto.better than new.
