B/SM and C/SM where 10.5 tire classes years ago Single four barrel classes with limited rules, they mostly went away with the elimination of Modified Eleminator back when It doesn't suprise me that NHRA, in all of its infinite wisdom, would add another class when there already limiting entrys into the national events now

Sounds to me someone is scared that ADRL is taking all the real race fans!!! Maybe they can have monster trucks as part of the intermission at these races.

We can only hope that they dont pull the growing Pro Mod class from the national events and stick them at these poor excuses for a drag race

somehow I get the feeling they are going to mess it up. I think they are going to try to manage it like Pro-Stock and Top Fuel. Just a bad feeling in my gut. I hope I'm wrong though, I love watching Outlaw 10.5

True 10.5 and Outlaw 10.5 is where all the action is now days. Just look at the spectators at these events.

The biggest problem will be the rules...

Exactly James... ...they change the rules for those classes more than I change my underwear ...prices racers out of the sport yearly. Guys build a car for a class..then...whammo..they change the rules before they even make a pass.

I really do not understand the point for true 10.5 and outlaw 10.5. If you want to host a 10.5 outlaw tire class it should be just that, measured 10.5 inch tread width. Show up with a 10.5 inch tire and you are in.

I like the Idea of the 10.00,11.00,12.00, and 13.00 index classes I should fit nicely into the 12.00 class I'm gonna try to make the Indy race just hopefully I can slow my junk down to 12.00 by shifting into 3rd by 60'!!!!

Everyone will complain about the rules no matter what ( I know I do ).

Everyone wants the rules to suit there car.

I hope the rules for the west coast stay the same for a while , but where there is a will there is a way .

How about a big cube V-6 ,( something like a cut down BAE hemi ) twin turbo methanol, automatic , pro-stock car . That would only have to weigh 2200 pounds.

Like Eric said, the biggest problem is with the rules...They have to make them and then not change them! But, establishing the rules is pretty tough..

They could make it simple. Both class have the same rules except tire size...

Most True 10.5 classes weigh 3000 sb 3200 bb.
Most Outlaw 10.5 classes have a 2350 min weight.

Run what you brung. Weight and tire size are the only rules.

Let's see how long it takes NHRA to screw this up, or to abandon the class after many people spend $$ on new hardware, like PST...

They will figure out a way to suck every last penny out of everyone involved, and when no one comes will say there is no interest.
