W2 headed 410 stroker, what size pipes do you guys recomend?
Was considering 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8" to 3" collectors or should I just go 1 7/8" straight of the bat.
Street strip engine looking at around 550hp NA with about 150 spray.

my 416 with ported Indybrocks uses 1 7/8 with a 3 1/2 collector

Same here, ported W5s 1 7/8 to 3 1/2

There are a few things to consider... RPM is just one....
if you PM me I can run it through my header program....
but I'll need more info

Dont go too big. Especially on that combination. I had a W2 headed small block in my dragster years ago and went from 1 3/4 1 7/8 steps to a set of 2 inch upswepts and it killed the bottom end.

I have 1 7/8 Hedmans with 3 1/2" collectors on my 408, the cam is a 260/264 @ .050 flat solid. It has tons low end .

Give this one a shot for a ball park diameter , length and collector diameter.

what you said will be good except collector should be 3 1/2.

Part of the choice depends on:
1. exhaust port CFM (high allows smaller pipe)
2. overlap window area (large may die with a large primary)
3. EVO event (early allows smaller pipe)

Bad port + late EVO = large primary.
