I am very impressed with this design Has anyone purchased one??Or in my case 2??Spoke with Pat today and he said the idle quality,off idle and drivability is incredible I am seriously considering getting a pair of these.When I recently spoke to several "carb guys",they told me that a pair of 1250's would be too big for street driving and would be blubbery with idle and off idle but would be ideal for the track.The SV1's would give me the CFM that is needed to really turn the wick up and not sacrifice the streetability.Any opinions or real life experience with these?????????

1250's[holley 80532-1] are fine on mine i drove around at the classic in the pits and even with too rich of a idle fuel restriction it ran pritty good.i have an LM-1 coming to help fine tune it.
edit:i do yealize it was at the track not on the street driving 50 miles stop&go.

I think one SV1 carb is capable of up to 2600cfm. There is some good info on Pro-Systems web site under the news tab. I am waiting to hear more real world results. There have been a few threads about the SV1 over on Yellow Bullet, but I have not seen any track results yet.

Patrick sent me one to test when I went to the Hangover Nationals in Abilene after Thanksgiving. Right out of the box it was a little slower but was setup very fat per Patrick. The off idle and idle was awesome, and the throttle response was AMAZING! I sent the carb back to Patrick a month ago for him to do a few updates to and plan on testing it more this season.

I see that Bo laws has followed suit with this.

I recently purchased an alky 1050 SV1 from patrick and have had amazing results with it!!Damn thing idled on the money out of the box,and the response is unreal.Also was amazed I didnt have to prime the engine for cold starts anymore.

is any1 using a o2 or thermocouple?how the carb is acting in the transition?[rich/lean]

I saw in a prosystems ad BES racing said they gain 15 hp and another said they picked up .3 tenths in the 1/8 th.yeoman racing got 14 hp over there best four barrell carb.looks like patrick outdid himself on this one

Was using a 1050 Holley and I made the switch and picked up 2 tenths.

Al I am pretty sure the SV-1 will bolt up to a 4150 and 4500 flange intake. That will save you a few dollars on that adaptor you were talking about getting..
