depending on what type of baffle is in the valve cover the oil in the tube may be normal. We made sure my baffles where positioned inbetween 2 sets of rockers and was closed off except at the top to keep down on oil in the tube. I am running a restrictor in each line with a .060 hole and am still getting a lot of oil up top. If you have 1 .080 feeding 2 lines I would think that is Ok.

After making a pass and get back to the pits, the oil temp at 160/170 degrees...
Wow, that is some high oil temps from my experience. What oil temp did you have at the start of the run, and where are you measuring the oil temp?
I measure in the pan, and typically stage at 130 degrees oil temp and 160 water. Although oil may hit 150, before the next round it cools down faster than I would like. The only time oil temp goes up between rounds is several round-robin runs (10 mins between runs). Even after several, I have never seen 170 oil staging. Are you seeing high water temps too?
