2....I think the Duster application on this one is a misprint, the 340 with 833 should be the same as a 727 application

Nope A body 4 speed is roughly same length as a 904
If the car has a 727/8.75, it will use a shaft right at 45"

best way for sure.. shove yoke in tail shaft till it bottoms out...measure from center of cap to center of cap...subtract 1" perfect fit every time worst thing on any of them is to be a little short,it wears the tail bushing out and it can cause a vib at speed by the wobble it makes chased a few vib prob down to it being almost 2" to short and running it... on other peoples rides over the yrs had the shaft balenced 2x and come to be it was to short do it right the first time with a balance and correct length

Dodge Darts have a longer wheelbase than a Duster. The 833 for an A body has the a short tailshaft. Best to measure your own setup to be sure. Do not buy a Driveshaft until you are sure! Joe Sr

As said the listed specs will tell you which one from a JY or elsewhere is the one to buy but if shortening one to fit measure 1st. On my 65 dart it was a bit too short and the trans yoke didn't seen to have enough engagement as it felt a bit wobbly on the output shaft splines and in use vibrated on occaision. Picked up another driveshaft just a slight bit longer (less than an inch additional iirc),swapped the (near new) ujoints & that took care of it
