Hello.

I tried to do an accurate search & Mastershake340's PM box is full.

'71 'cuda with power disc brakes. Is the booster & MC suppose to be painted black as a unit like '70? If not, what color are they suppose to be?

Also, is the cowl blacked out like in '70?

TIA

71 E body cowl is painted body color unlike 70, m/c I believe is as cast, not painted black, and the booster I've seen black and cad plated, mine is black - I'm sure we'll get others who'll know better than I do - Joe

I'm curious about the booster as well. Most I've seen are black and it seemed most people on this board said they were black and cad is not correct, however I think it was one of Juliano's cudas that I saw was cad and was a concours correct resto. Did SPD or booster type make a difference on this. I believe 71 MC's are left natural

Typically the bendix booster{locking halves} was painted black and the midland-ross{band clamp style} had the plating exposed...
