Here my Pro Comp Heads on mock up B-motor. Just got real block back from machine shop, we will put together once car is closer to being done. Heads checked out great minus the weak springs!

What rockers did you use? Were these the CNC ported versions? Did you need to clearance the heads for the pushods? Pro comp covers too?

Leave the gun.......take the Cannoli's....Mike

Did the mock up have the cam and push rods and rockers in it. My Victors seemed fine until then. I then found out a considerable amount of grinding was required to even get the push rods to seat in the lifters. Mine were the first batch, so things might have changed. I wish you far better luck than I had. I hope Pro Comp didn't copy the Victors TOO closely.

Looks good so far!

Keep us informed about any grinding necessary.

Edelbrock has, at least on the max wedge version we have at the shop, added more clearance for pushrods. Whether it's enough is yet to be determined.

Hey guys whats up, The kit came with Pro Comps 1.6's, but with my cam I'm going to use Comp 1.5's. As far as the pushrod grinding we havnt got to that stage yet, we are almost certain that there will be some clearancing necessary. but nothing major. I have to say Iv heard alot of mixed emotions with these heads but for the price I'm not concerned with alittle bit of extra work. Im very excited to get this together. As far as that water pump, that is off a 62 413! with electric pump!

Do your Comp 1.5 intake rockers have the correct offset?

Victors require at least a .600" offset (and still may need some grinding). If the ProComp rockers are really only .400", there may be some serious pushrod clearance issues to deal with.
