I purchase a new steering/pitman arm for my new power steering gear box from year one. The only thing is that the new one has more of a curve to it than the orignal one. Depth of the arm is the same but that is the only thing similar. My question is, do i use the arm, or do i get them to send me another one that supposed to look like the original?

Match them side by side and if the ends are in the same place(lenght and hieght) it shouldn't matter about the curve.
