Just got a trans for my 68 charger build ID# PK4039540. Didn't know it came off a truck/van until now. Will it still fit my 68 BB Charger? Is it that much different then earlier passenger 727 trans? Thanks

IIRC, some of the truck trans don't have the bosses for the floor shift bracket on the tail shaft. If that's the case you can easily swap any tailshaft housing from a 727 that does have it if you need it.

Provided it already has the long tail shaft. Also unless you have or are going to use factory floor shift you don't need them for after market shifters.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

Definitely a big block trans. Does have the long tail shaft but dont remember what the bosses look like (took mine apart a long time ago), are tail shafts easily swapped?. It will be replacing my original floor shifted 904. I kept all the brackets and linkage from the 904. Other than the kickdown lever assy and driveshaft the rest should swap over right?
