a few of us were sitting around debating what cam would be better for 1/4 times....the in famous mp509 or the lunati 240/250 520/547 cam...vehicle is a 4100 b-body with 4.56 gears & 4200 stall...anybody care to give opinions or actually have expierence...030 440 rpm manifold, 750 dbl. pump 13/4 headers mild 452 heads...

From experience running nearly the same engine..
The smallest solid flat tappet MP (528 lift) use to make will kill the 509Hyd and do it idling like a stock engine.

It was worth a tenth in a pretty much stock 440 with mild ported heads, in a 73 Duster. 4.30 gears etc.

Didnt they make the 509 in a solid flat tappet also?
