right now i have the stock mopar alternator with the sqaure back.i plan on putting in a new electric fan and a water pump drive kit, i already have a holley fuel pump and if i got my amps right its going to pull about 27/30 amps i think the stock alternator is 60 amps .i dont think that this will work but thought i would ask sure someone has tried it before....now on a side note i have a small denso alternator that came of of a acura leg. thats about new and i was hopeing i could use it but dont really know how to hook it up it has 4 wires on 1 big plug then the 1 for the hot, could someone point me in the right way for this...i would like to get it going while its off season and test everything out....if the stock one will work thats better....

My denso has 2 field wires and the battery(big lead)
I would assume the extra(4th wire would be a ground)...
you would have the 2 field wires going to the trigger
and the regulator (external regulator)... you can
test the circuit with a VOM and like I said I believe
the extra wire is a ground..... or take it to a
alternator/starter shop and ask them if you dont
get any help here
EDIT
Do you know what amp the denso is... if its only
a 70 it might not be worth your time... you could take
the Mopar unit in and have the alternator shop raise
the out put to a 80 amp(but you may need to check the
wire size on the carrying capacity )

I`ve been runnng the stock 87 amp unit for many, many years w/out any issues running elec, water pump, fan and fuel pump(s). I drive this car so I obviously run headlights and blinkers too.
