I have a 73 dodge charger with a 400.It has after market valve covers and air cleaner.There isn't a place for a pcv valve,just a breather type cover on the valve cover.Does this matter or make a differance.

Yes, if you don't want oil all over everywhere you need a breather on one side and a PCV on the other.

what Stumpy said. See if the other valve cover is one that has a spot on top for a pcv hole to be drilled & best would be to weld in some baffles underneath it.
