with everyone here. Some statements may be slightly incomplete, but all are correct. (except maybe what big money lewis said about 71 belts in 70 B bodies. He could be right, but I'm not knowlegable enough on B bodies to comment on that one. I know it doesn't apply to E bodies though.) Tav

When we discussed it before, BS27R0Bs car was the only one anyone could find equipped like that and had the seat belt light. If I recall, we were shown other cars similarly equipped that did NOT come with the seat belt light. There seems to be nothing that indicates his car should have a seat belt light. Maybe it was a factory mistake, we may never know. If it's on the broadcast sheet, then keep it. Ebodyseast, your car sounds like it has the entire C15 Deluxe seat belt package, not just the seat belt light. Another part of that package are some male buckle shaped brackets screwed to the front of the seats to clip the female buckles onto when not in use, to keep them from getting beat up. Do you have those brackets on your seats? If you've got the whole package, and it's not coded, then maybe it's a typo . More info needed. Maybe now that we've got two cars coded L73 and NOT C15 we can compare them and learn something? Would the two of you post all your broadcast sheet data for us to compare? Tav

The dash frame has a hole where this or the 4 spd reverse bezel is mounted.
Hey guys, I just noticed this (above quote). Is that correct? I was thinking the seat belt light (when equipped) was always mounted in the same location regardless of the presence of a reverse light.
Is the seatbelt light really mounted where the reverse light would go?

Beepbeep earlier alludes to the intersection of GC/SE models with C15. Perhaps simply the intersection of overhead console [which would already have a seat belt light] with C15. Now we're beyond hearsay, into the land of speculation by your humble poster.
correct, overhead console cars don't get the seat belt light on the dash because they already have one on the console.
Let's turn it around though...
Do Grand Coupe convertibles have a seat belt light on the dash since they don't have an overhead console? What about their low fuel/door ajar systems?

Here goes m46rat - working on wiring problems and forgot to post part numbers. The white banded front belts with push button, only one still has a label & simply reads 'Chrysler Corp 1970' - one of the others has the same label with no part number...just a date: 1970 The other 3 that do still have labels/numbers: 4749 2999587 1969-3 4749 2999587 1970-2 4770 2999631 1970-2 Seems weird that a 1970 has a belt that has a 'part number' reaching beyond its model year...is this a way the factory took out a patent or maybe the wrong year belt.

It lights up the switch panel.
Amazing how an unchallenged lie can become the absolute truth.

Some labels/tags are completely MIA. There are only two total styled like the one in pic below, for the front seats I guess. The other two for rear seat are different and unlike any pictured. And reads 'Chrysler Corp 1970'. Those were the only part numbers - I did supply all that I have. Thanks for explaining what the numbers mean m46.
