The PS belt tensioner pulley on my sons 01 neon locked up and we can't find a replacement WO buying a whole tensioner assembly. Does anybody know where to buy a replacement pulley?

You can usually buy replacement bearings for those at NAPA or carquest. Just hammer the bearing out and press in a new one. You will probably need an experienced parts guy to know the part # needed unless you can get any numbers off the current bearing.

In my case ('03 Neon), the pulley shattered and threw the belt. I discovered in the U-Pull that I have to remove the engine in order to remove the tensioner assembly, so I can replace the pulley!!! It is about time for a new timing belt anyhow, so soon... in the meantime, I'm driving without power steering. Yep, I'm getting plenty strong!
The Hollander manual says timing belt replacement while installed, and I just DO NOT see anyway to do so!

We drove this WO PS to get it home but that's hard on the PS rack. There's a chunk missing from mine too. I have a friend who has his own repair business, he's doing the fix for me. We're just trying to save some money. Timming belt and WP replaced about a month ago. I like the new bearing idea in the previous reply, if my pulley is reusable missing a chunk.
