Im working slowing on getting my car back for some street and race action.

I noticed my u-joints are a little loose and there has been small trans leak out of the tailshaft forever (Grooved). Is it worth upgrading to the stronger u-joints by replacing the slip yoke and the axel yoke.
I currently have the original style strap u-joints.
What parts will I need the replace the axel yoke beside the the yoke itself. What level of HP is the 7290 style good for.

Thanks Jeff

Jeff there recently was a fairly comprehensive thread on the strap vs ubolt ujoint retention. Might see if you can retrieve it or if someone could pull it up. I have (yet) to master the search function (6 yrs & counting)
