Regarding oil pressure,my oil pressure never varies more than 10psi whether hot or cold.It stays around 60to70.When ive looked into ordering a pump basically all i see is Melling in stock or HV.I see alot of guys with large amounts of varying pressure between idle and full throttle. Why is mine constant while others varies so much? This is s/b,solid cam.

Many things come into play as far as oil pressure varying, bearing clearances, rocker arms and shafts, gauge type and some others that I'm not thinking of. On the gauge some of the manual gauges will respond much quicker if you use a larger pressure line, some don't due to having a vary small restrictor in them. I had one amnual gauge in one of my old bracket cars that I used a 1/4 preesue line to the Stewart Warner 2 5/8 faced gauge and it responded like a tachometer, especially when the oil was warm Some electric gauges are the opposite, they forever to show changes
