I am mounting my fuel cell and wanted to see some pics of ways that you guys have done it. I have a 8 gallon cell with a sump. I want to mount the filter and pump in the trunk as well. I was thinking of putting 2 pieces of 2x2 square steel stock across the top of the spare tire well (from front to back, even with the trunk floor) to elevate the cell.

I just swapped this out for a 5 gal. cell. Only difference with the new set-up was 1x1 square tubing through-bolted and sandwiching the mounting tabs front & rear.

I thought I read somewhere that it still needed the straps across the top, so if I find out I need it, it will be easier to add with the square tubing already in place.

The main rails are 2x2 angle.
