rook440 enthusiast R Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 266 iowa	have you checked out the alumaloy rod on youtube ,it shows them welding an ear back on a transmission and repairing a hole in an aluminum can ,supposed to be tougher than aluminum when you are done ,you can buy it from ebay or eastwood , ...easy to use ,just a propane torch ,might be perfect for something like that /// good luck
