This looks like a reproduction of the original 340 cam except it has a claimed 228/235 degree duration at .050 lift, compared to the original at 210/220. Is this correct? If so are these cams noisy with this eggresive fast ramp on the lobe? Also does it have a lot more power than the stock cam because of it's greater duration at .050? Thanks.

Yes,

use with- PERFORMER intake , 600cfm Edel performer carb, shaved heads at least with the 1.88/1.60 valves, 3.23 rear gear, 4 speed or 2200 stall auto, headers, dual 21/4" exhaust. shift at 5200rpm.

A 4 spd 4dr 323" 3.23 A body was fast as a 90s 5L 5spd mustangs first 4 gears. 14's 1/4...

The most reasrched stock 318's to magnum 360's cam. The information I have was the 228 intake duration circle 114 centerline cam. The .430/.444" lift has a overlap of 44 deg enough to give a noticable idle from the other base model .3xx" intake lift domestic v8's. A 340 cammed 318-360 Has amazing ammounts of power condsidering the road manners and vacuum it is retaining through drive. That 340 cam has the signature drive -inn Mopar sound. Shaved heads with a bump in compresion offer a cam idle stampeed, as you roll by. GREAT CAM. Lasts for ever, and is easy on the valvetrain.
