Do all 1967 cars have a closed crankcase system on them with the breather connecting to the air cleaner?

I have someone with a '67 GTX air cleaner and it doesn't have the breather nipple on it. Says it doesn't look like it was modified.

Thanks, Nick.

All I could find in my 67 "glenns" manual is that '66 & '67 model year came with or without CAP (cleaner air package) eng mods which I believe includes the closed breather and that probably CAP was required on 67 California m.y. cars.

Thanks, I thought that '66 was the last year for that. Most of my cars have been California ones so I'm pretty used to it being there.

My original 67 Hemi Belvedere had the CAP plug on the air cleaner, there was no hose from the beather to the air cleaner as most had. It was an original California car.

My original 67 Dart does not have it.

My '67 300 has CAP and therefore has the closed crank-case system, and it was built in Dec 1966.

Also had a '65 Valiant and a '66 Barracuda, both 273 cars with closed crank-case system.

My 67 Satellite (late 66 build) has a PVC on one side, and Breather cap on the other. No attachment to the air cleaner.

I believe so. My 68 (non calif) GTX was closed.

My 67 GTX is the same..no nipple off the snorkel. Pretty sure there is two air cleaners for the 440 67 R/t and GTX, Cap cars had the nipple on the drivers side snorkel non cap had none.

Here's another question. The GTX air cleaner in question is not painted in a wrinkle finish. Did they come both ways?

My original 67 non-CAP air cleaner is wrinkle paint. It looks like Gary's is as well.

Good luck on the other half of the question
