Does 180 psi seem about right? New rebuilt engine, never been fired yet and still setting on a stand.

The build was 4.15 stroker, 440 source flat tops 12 in the hole, 906 heads shaved 60 or a bit more, 39 thou head gasket, lunati cam 60342 solid.

251/259 @50 106/114 center .377/.391 lobe lift useing 1.5 rockers.

I was shooting for around 10-1 compression, maybe a bit more.

Can anyone tell by the cold cranking psi if im in that range? I was shooting for 450 hp - 500 or so. Thinking about pulling the 6pk engine out of my car starting tomorrow and installing this. I do have some 110 octane here to start it up on if need be. I installed the cam on 106 int centerline. And useing ported 906 heads with 214/181's It's a 4spd 410 gear car, just to drive around local. Not a whole lot of Mopars at our local 1/8 mile track and I would like to have a respectable time for street tires with full factory exhaust. I have never really run an 1/8 mile much, always been 1/4 mile and in a race car. Hoping to get an 8? second pass in the 1/8th. My machinist friend has a 69 chevelle with a 454 and he ran an 8.23 street rim. I need to run as good= better than him. You think this set up is low 8 sec worthy? I had asked this before, but thought I may get a better input having a psi reading this time.

I was wondering if once the engine is broken in or warm if the psi number would get higher?

on the cam card there is some numbers needed, what are the numbers.

EX closes ATDC - IN opens BTDC

EX opens BBDC - IN closes ABDC

I dont see a problem running 8sec in the 1/8, if on street tires traction will be a issue.

i would say your pressure is right where id think it should be. and you should be 8's in the 1/8

since this engine hasnt been fired up yet, is it possible that it may get a little higher? I seem to think no since all the rings are file fit and installed propper.

Today, I decided to spray a little oil into the cylinders and spin it a few revs to lube the walls a bit. The engine had set up with a cover on it for a few months. I also made sure the compression checker was seated good.

The readings I came up with this time were 200 and some were 205.

Does this still look like I can run 92/93 octane pump gas? Or maybe I have to mix with 110?

It will run fine on 87 at idle and light throttle, just run good fuel if you plan to push the throttle toward the floor.
