Hey folks, just wondering if anyone remembers seeing this car, I SOLD it to a man in the Joliet Ill, area back around 97,or 98.....I'd love to have it back. The car was an original body in white and was built in late 1974 for the 75/76 prostock year. This car was built at a place called "CHASSIS CRAFT" in Chicago.....I was only 18, and found this car in Ontario Canada, I cleaned the car up, painted it and had Dick Landy build me a Hemi for it, he used most of his left over Pro Stock parts from the 70's to build it. Mike dynoed the motor and it made 752 HP @7150rpm, I spent every dime I had on this car and then had to sell it. I'd love to know if its still out there. Thanks MrPlymouth

Beautiful car! I'd want to have it back also!

Can't help now but I'll keep my ear to the ground.

Very nice! Gotta ask though how an 18 year old could afford the car and a Dick Landy built hemi? Yikes! I know when I was 17 or so I was making 6 bucks an hour.

When i was 16 i bought a $10,000 race motor. Then i bought a nice pro stock arrow to put in 2 years later.
If you want something bad enough you will get it.
Hard work pays off usaully.

Oh and good luck trying to find it. That is a very nice car!

WOW !!! I forgot about that, I also remember we could'nt stop the car. John Wilson and I went back to the shop and ordered everything we could to rebuild all the LAMB brakes on the car, we had to even replace the risidual val ves.

He owned a very old and popular steak sandwich house ....and I am probably going to spell this wrong, so I will just sound it out for you, but it was called " MARY-AH-CHEE'S" and I think it was spelt....Mariachies

I found the car when I was 18, it took me a couple years to get all the work done, and buy the Hemi. To be honest the Hemi seemed really cheap, it cost me $13,250.00 and that was sent in a nice crete and shipped.

Yeah close but no. Trust me on that one. That car came out of Virginia and it looks great in the pics but needed a lot of work. here is arecent pic of that car.

Nice-looking car, great stance. Interesting, having a Cheetah shifter in it.
I would think that unless someone rolled it up into a ball, it's somewhere running or sitting. It could be anywhere in the US or Canada, or even across an ocean by now.
Try running ads on racingjunk.com & the other racecar sites, National Dragster, even eBay if there's a way to auction a reward. Reed Koeppe might be able to help.
