why do mopars have a loop in the brake line coming from the master to the distribution valve? is it absolutely necessary? ive looked at newer cars -non abs disc drum setups- and they do not have it. any ideas?

They have loops in them to absorb some of the flex that happens on the firewall when you step on the pedal.

so when going more race car with at most 1000 miles a year it is not as important to have them then? good, glad to hear that. mine need to go. stupid headers wont allow them to fit with the loop.

I didn't loop mine.

FWIW I'm kinda wishing I had used a SS braided brake line so that if I needed to make more room the master would swing out of the way easy. Just a thought.

Can't use too much SS flexi line in the system or the pedal starts to get spongy. When I did my MW rear discs the "experts" told me to keep it under 4' total for the whole system

My whole car has SS braided.... it has a little bit
of a spongy feel... not much but I can feel it...
not like you would have to pump the pedal or anything
