I have a 71 440 that was given a basic rebuild years ago before I bought it. I have had it in storage for years. It has .30 over flat top pistons I'm assuming 8:5 to 9:0 compression with a purpleshaft roadrunner cam. I have debated on doing a slight upgrade wih the cam before I drop it in my Cuda. Anyone ever used or heard how the Hughes whiplash cams perform? Supposedly they are designed for lower compression engines. If not any suggestions for a cam upgrade in a basic hp440, headers, holley street dominator intake, holley 750, with auto stock converter. The Cuda currently has 3.23s but I may have one of the centers rebuilt with 3.91s. If more information is needed the car is a 71 Cuda with everything basically in stock setup.

Got one of 'em sitting on the desk next to me as I type. Will install it in my 383 in a couple of months. I want to see how it works. Talked with the Hughes people who said for my setup, cruising around town and going to cruise-ins it'll work great. We will see.
